We timed this completely by accident. 14th day of the lunar calendar = full moon lantern festival in Hoi An. The old town goes dark, hundreds of silk lanterns float on the Thu Bon river, and we sat on the riverbank eating Cao Lau noodles with strangers who became friends for the evening.
